Montgomery County Texas Senior Garden is a community garden located in the heart of our city at 19654 Airport Parkway, Conroe, Texas. It is available to Montgomery County Residences who are 55+ years of age. It provides a space for individuals and families to come together and grow fresh produce while fostering a sense of community. The Montgomery Senior Garden is a non-profit organization, self-managed and supported by Montgomery County Precinct One.
Garden Plots are leased to qualifying gardeners for a one-time fee of $100.
Each Gardner is responsible to work and to maintain their own plot. They own and can keep the fruits of their labor.
The plots vary in size. Nominally they measure roughly 30-40 by 30-40 feet. Water is available at no charge. Each gardener supplies their own seeds, plants, irrigation equipment, and tools.
Sheds are available to store tillers, mowers, and other such equipment. Garden implements are brought by the gardener or stored on the gardener’s plot.
There is a large building with complete kitchen facilities including refrigerators, ovens, and sink, as well as a toilet, and a lounge area.
